Replacing the Memories of the Past

"Actually, in every day-to-day life how to kill the memory of the past? To kill the memory of the past, is to have new memories. You must remember when you first got your realization. Always think of it. Whenever any such memory comes to you, you try to think how you got realisation. Any memory that is troublesome or even so-called elating, you just try to remember how realisation has come to you. When you feel aggressive about something or angry about something, just try to remember how you felt the joy of surrendering. Just think of that joy of surrendering, of dissolving yourself. So the new memories must be built up ... If you could record the joy of raising the Kundalini of others, you will feel a new wealth of these beautiful moments will be accumulated. And all these moments which were giving you confusion or fear or so called unhappiness and happiness will drop out and pure joy will remain. Because now most of the experiences you have had are more of joy. Joy has no thoughts."

The Creation

Here are some beautiful quotes from the talk, "The significance of Brighton", given in England on (15/11/1979), where Shri Mataji describes how the Divine Power developed before the creation.

"In the beginning it was just a Silence, complete Silence, ...so this Parama-Brahma, this Silence - the Absolute Silence, was awakened. Then this Silence became Sadashiva, when it was awakened. When His desire started manifesting, his desire became his power, and it got separated from Him. When this desire became a power, it was called as Shakti, Mahashakti, or Adi (Primordial Power).

This Primordial Power assumed a personality and entity - it had to, if it had to act. If you have only a desire in your heart, it's no good. We have to transform it into some form, otherwise the desire will rise and it will fall off. So this desire got into a form, which is called in the Bible as Holy Ghost and in the Sanskrit language as Adishakti.

This desire then created out of itself two more powers - one to act, and one to improve on its own creation. Like that three powers started acting. Now this Holy Ghost is important for us because the Father is just a witness. He is witnessing the play, the game that Holy Ghost is going to play. He is going to enjoy Her creation. He is the only witness of that game, and She is trying to please Him by creating this, because it was His desire, to create. So She created. With these three forces we have got, which I call: the first the Desire (Mahakali); then the second one was the Action (Mahasaraswati); and the third one is the Sustenance, or you can call it the Evolution (Mahalakshmi). These three powers acted, to create us - human beings."1

To summerize first there was absolute silence which is called as Parama- Brahman. The silence awakened and with the development of its desire this power seperated into Sada Shiva and Adi Shakti. The Adi Shakti was the manifestation of Sada Shiva's desire to create. The Goddess is the desire power that acts and the the Father is a witness. In the acting of her role the Goddess became three powers: the desire (Mahakali), the creating power (Mahasaraswati) and the evolutionary power (Mahalaxmi).
